Note: before considering fostering or adoption, make sure no members of your household are allergic to rabbits or hay!
- The cost of rabbit care can easily reach or exceed $1,000 per year, or even more if the rabbit becomes sick or injured
- Is it likely I’ll have to relocate sometime in the next year or two?
- Do I anticipate having new roommates or other new cohabitants in my household in the foreseeable future?
- Do I know for sure whether I and my family members/roommates will enjoy owning a rabbit?
- Is my day-to-day routine fairly predictable/stable?
- How often do I need to travel for work or pleasure?
- Do I work long hours away from home?
- Is my home relatively quiet and free of disruption?
